Menopause is not a disease and does not need to be ‘diagnosed.’ It is a natural phase and transition in the life of a woman.
There are definitely signs and phenomena of menopause that can be anything from bothersome to debilitating, so we need to know what to expect and we need to have a variety of tools in our tool belt to help manage them the best we can.
The great thing about the ‘tools’ of diet and habits that help us with menopause, is that these will also help us (and our family) to live a healthy and active life as we age. It’s never too early or too late to start!
As important, we need to be open about this time in our lives. There is no need to be quiet or hide in the shadows (or behind a fan)!
